The Movement

The Automatic Movement

A self-winding mechanical movement beats at the heart of this watch: 24 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 41 hours. The rotor winds the mainspring in both directions of wear, the crown also winds it by hand, and the seconds hand stops the instant the crown is pulled, so the time can be set to the exact second. Shock-protected, regulated and individually numbered before it leaves the atelier.

Features

Super-LumiNova®

Super-LumiNova®

Super-LumiNova® is a luminescent compound applied to the hands, dial and indexes to make them visible in the dark.

Stainless Steel Case

Stainless Steel Case

A highly resistant alloy of steel and chromium. It can be worked to resemble a precious metal and is nearly impervious to rust, tarnish and corrosion.

Sapphire Crystal

Sapphire Crystal

Synthetic sapphire crystal is a tough, scratch-resistant material. Only a diamond could leave a mark on it.

Self-Winding

Self-Winding

Wrist movements cause the inner rotor to swing, transferring energy to the mainspring and powering your timepiece.

Shock Protection

Shock Protection

A sprung bearing holds the balance staff and absorbs impact, protecting the most delicate pivots of the movement from knocks and falls.

Verdet Automatic Caliber

Verdet Automatic Caliber

A three-hand automatic movement with 24 jewels, a power reserve of 41 hours and a stop-seconds function for setting the time precisely.

Long After the Sun

Long After the Sun

The numerals and the hands carry Super-LumiNova®, the Swiss compound that drinks in daylight and gives it back for hours. At first light over the ice or long after the night closes in, the hour is always where you expect to find it.

The Craft of Looking Far

The Craft of Looking Far

Every instrument built to look far begins with the same obsession for an exact measure. It runs through the Ardem in the finish of every surface, in the fit of the case and in the regulation of the movement. It is what keeps a watch in step for generations that have not arrived yet.
